Blue Theology was founded in Pacific Grove, California as a mission of the Christian Church of Pacific Grove (Disciples of Christ). The church is located on the Monterey Bay, a sanctuary for both marine life and our human community. The bay is home to harbor seals, humpback whales, octopuses, otters, and more. The church is walking distance to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Monterey Bay is known for its ecological resurrection story: from an overfished and dying ecosystem to a vibrant, thriving, and biodiverse marine sanctuary.
Our lovely “little white Victorian on the corner” has been a significant part of Pacific Grove for over a century now. Our Victorian heritage has been preserved in our decor and in our commitment to this community. We have always been a small congregation, with a loving fellowship that includes people of all ages and economic backgrounds. You are welcome here!
